How We Started
Marsal Avila Law Group was founded in 2003, by a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States with the same hopes and dreams as countless other immigrants. Born in Havana, Cuba, Teresita Marsal-Avila and her family arrived the United States looking to build a future for the next generation. She went to Law school and obtained her J.D. from Valparaiso University in 1986. Teresita found her passion in immigration law, where she could be an advocate for others seeking their own American Dream. Since 2005, Marsal Avila Law Group has helped thousands of individuals and families. Today, our dedicated team brings the same passion that started it all, to guiding our clients through their own immigration journey.

Teresita Marsal-Avila
Our beloved founder, Teresita Marsal-Avila, passed away on January 8, 2024. She is survived by her spouse, and her daughter, Melissa Avila, who is following in her footsteps. She will always be remembered for her wisdom, "si se puede" attitude, and tender heart for those in need. Teresita touched thousands of lives, and her legacy lives on as Marsal Avila Law Group continues the mission; to help others attain their American Dream.
